THE IMPROVISED COMEDY EPIC RETURNS FOR A 16TH YEAR!

Starting 7pm on Friday 27th February and running continuously until 9pm Sunday 1st March

at Pleasance Theatre, London

Showstopper Productions and Suzanna Rosenthal Productions are excited to announce the highly-anticipated return of The London 50-Hour Improvathon, for a totally bodacious 16th year!

Perhaps the most ambitious (and least sensible) event in the London theatre calendar – this improvised comedy epic sees some of the world’s best improvisers descend on London for one hilarious, and delirious, weekend. It’s the ultimate ‘you had to be there’ event!

‘Hilarious! Like nothing else you’ve ever seen before.’
Time Out Critic’s Choice ★★★★★

Welcome to Pleasanceville. It’s 1980-something in small town America, and life seems idyllic.

But it’s not just teen diaries that hide secrets in Pleasanceville. What’s happening in the high-security government research lab in the woods? Who is the corrupt mayor covering for? And can our intrepid band of misfits save the town in time to get to prom?

The Goonies meets Twin Peaks meets Stranger Things in this totally tubular adventure!

‘It’s absolutely incredible. This isn’t theatre – it’s blood sports.’
WHATS ON STAGE ★★★★

The London 50-Hour Improvathon is split into 25 two-hour shows. Audience members can come to any individual episode (there are recaps at the start of each show so everyone knows what’s happening) or, like some of the hardcore fans, buy a ticket for the whole weekend and bring a sleeping bag! Weekend Passes sold out in record time in 2025!

Director Ali James says: “It’s like binging your favourite Netflix show for a whole weekend – but LIVE!”

The show kicks off at 7pm on Friday and plays continuously until 9pm on Sunday (yes, right through the nights!) with a live band and refreshments available throughout. There’s a relaxed performance on Saturday 28th February at 11am; a special D&D episode on Saturday 28th February at 1pm; a BSL signed performance on Saturday 28th February at 3pm; and a family episode on Sunday 1st March at 11am, suitable for all kids of all ages with concession tickets for under-12s.

‘Deserves an Improv Oscar…a rite of passage, for audience as well as actors.’
REVIEWS HUB ★★★★★

Featuring stars of Olivier Award-winning Showstopper! The Improvised Musical and Tony Award-winning Mischief alongside comedians, performers, up-and-comers and international guests throughout the weekend. The performers become increasingly sleep-deprived; they behave with a wild freedom you won’t see anywhere else!

‘You start to realise that it might be the only thing that matters in your life.’
